1. Table. Bench so high or table so low, I could barely fit and I am a small person. Almost an hour before my order arrived and when I said something before to one of the older, white haired guy about how long I was waiting, he said they were busy. They are always busy. I knew he was turning away people because I was at a cafe right across and saw him and his staff turn away people including the couple that sat next to me and was turned away.
2. As i asked again, waiting almost an hour and said I was waiting that long, he threw a platter on the table and told me it was less than 20 minutes and I was lying. Then he said I could leave. Instead of yelling back, I told him he didn't know how to run a restaurant. Maybe he was envious because he was almost as old as I am and he is working on a busy Saturday night and I am on holiday. I left. He had a plate of unpaid food. Good for him.
3. Don't go there. So many places for food that this one is easily skipped.
A lovely old restaurant in a side street just back from the Notre Dame cathedral. The food was good, the ambience was warm, eclectic and felt like I was in the owners own home having dinner…especially when the cat wandered in and curled up on one of the dining chairs. The only criticism on the night was the service was lacking. I think that was due to confusion between the owner and other staff.
