We expected (based on the pictures we saw on line) that it was a nicer place. However it was a bit run down compared to the pictures online. We sat inside on the first level and it’s was quaint. However we toured the upstairs and it was so much nicer. We wished we were offered to sit upstairs. However we loved our waiter. He was very amusing and he even gave us a very good American accent! Loved it! They were very accommodating to us with gluten free and no nuts. As for food, we tried the roasted chicken, duck confit, and boeuf bourguignon. Out of these dishes the boeuf bourguignon was by far the best. Our waiter told us that this place is quite historical and is the oldest restaurant in Paris. Not sure I believe it but I’m sure it is quite old. There were tours coming by for photos so I’m sure it is historical. Overall if you was looking for traditional French cuisine, this is a good option. Oh! One interesting thing was we asked for wine. And the waiter asked us to go downstairs to the wine cellar. We picked our own bottle. Since we did not know what was good, we picked a 30euro bottle of 2016 Boudreaux. It was decent. Next time we might try a bottle I may try a more e pensive bottle!!!!!
